The story
Priya runs a two-vet practice. She used to think of the website as a brochure — services, team photos, a nice shot of the waiting room. Then she watched her own phone analytics: most sessions were under thirty seconds, most were on mobile, and most happened outside opening hours.
Those were not browsers. They were people holding a sick animal, checking one thing: can I come now. The site answered eventually, after a hero carousel and a webfont and a booking widget that loaded last of all.
Now the header carries hours and a phone number in the first paint, the booking page is excluded from cache so it is always live, and everything else is static HTML. The brochure still exists. It just stopped being in the way.
